Summary

[edit]
Description
English: A woodcarver carves a decorative column to be used in Wat Phranon Chaksi, a Buddhist temple in Singburi, Thailand.
  • It takes him about a month to carve a 5-meter pole, and he is paid 20,000 baht for the work.
  • Each pole will tell a story related to the history of Wat Phranon Chaksi, or to Singburi. However, he doesn't sketch a plan on the pole in advance; he keeps a picture in his mind as he carves.
