Description
English: Between 1960 and 1990, FOSDIC (Film Optical Sensing Device for Input to Computers) allowed census data to be transferred from paper questionnaire to microfilm for rapid processing by the Census Bureau’s computers. A woman operator inspects one of the film reels.
