Description Staff Sgt. Kyle Juarez, of the Wisconsin Army National Guard's Battery A, 1st Battalion, 121st Field Artillery Regiment, holds his daughter Nia for the first time Feb. 21 at Milwaukee's Mitchell Field International Airport. More than 30 remaining Soldiers from Battery A â approximately half of the Sussex, Wis.-based unit â were deployed for several months to Afghanistan, where they supplied high mobility artillery rocket system (HIMARS) support. Battery A is only the third National Guard artillery unit to provide HIMARS support in Afghanistan. Half of the unit returned in December as part of troop drawdown operations.
