Description
English: Windmill, Outwood, Surrey. Outwood Windmill is Britain’s oldest working windmill. Listed Grade I by English Heritage (list entry number 1029961), it was built in 1665 by Thomas Budgen of Nutfield, and is what is known as a Post Mill; the whole body, weighing around 25 tons, rotates on a central post made of a single enormous oak tree, to bring the mill round into the wind.The mill stands some 39ft high, the sails being 60ft http://www.outwoodwindmill.co.uk/
