Wimshurst Machine: metal base with black and gold enamel surface decoration; mounted on base are 2 voltage capacitors (Leyden jars) with insulated terminals and two large disks attached to pulley gears and rope; two metal ball attachments on side of wheel produce the spark gap when wheel is in rotation. Materials: Metal, glass, enamel, rope. |
