Description
English: A monochrome reproduction of an oil painting of a thanksgiving service on 21 June 1887 in Westminster Abbey celebrating the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria (24 May 1819 – 22 January 1901), that is, the 50th anniversary of her accession to the throne. Two of the guests were Queen Kapiʻolani (1834–1899) and Crown Princess Liliʻuokalani of the Kingdom of Hawaiʻi, the wife and sister of King Kalākaua, who are both located on the left of the painting seated next to Queen Marie Henriette of the Beligans and the Grand Duchess Augusta of Mecklenburg-Strelitz. The original painting is part of the Royal Collection.
