In thefirst place, health will make it possible for themto work harder and play harder, in this waygaining more health. Another very importantreason for taking good care of yonr bodies isto save your mothers and fathers from wastingmoney in buying medicines and paying doctorsbills. Every city in the United States has a Boardof Health. This is because there are certainconditions in a community, no matter how small,that may cause sickness. These Boards of Healthwatch the schools, the streets, and the rivers forany disease dangers, and do all that lies in theirpower to prevent contagion. If every family,though, and every child in every family were care-ful about the very simple hygienic matters thatthe Board of Health has to watch, the communitywould be a safer, better place in which to live.It isnt enough to keep well oneself.
