| Description |
English: Weymouth Relief Road (4) This shows the Weymouth welcome pillars at the northern end of the small cutting that currently carries the A354 over the Ridgeway. The view is east across the cutting and over the construction site for the new road just south of the Ridgeway. At this point the line of the new road is running just east of south away from the old A354 towards the southern end of the Bincombe rail tunnel. The road in the foreground is a notorious blind summit where fast vehicles coming up the straight Dorchester road frequently plough into the back of stationary vehicle on the southern side of the summit. |
