Description
English: Wet mount of a diprotist culture maintained in Hay medium containing Colpodella sp. ATCC 50594) and Parabodo caudatus (homotypic synonym: Bodo caudatus, according to NCBI Taxonomy). Cells were centrifuged and the pellet resuspended in Hay medium for wet mount preparation. Detain (Ward's) was added to wet mounts to slow protist motility. A. wet mount of diprotist culture showing Colpodella trophozoites and Parabodo caudatus; B & C. Wet mount of Colpodella (black arrowhead) attached to Parabodo caudatus.
