Description
Français : Pile étalon Weston. Deux tubes cylindriques de verre verticaux sont réunis à mi-hauteur par un tube horizontal. L'un de ces tubes contient un amalgame de cadmium et de mercure fromant le pôle positif. L'autre renferme un mélange de mercure de de sulfate mercureux. Ces substances sont maintenues par des diaphragmes de mousseline au fond des tubes remplis d'une solution saturée de sulfate de Cd. La tension électromotrice est de 1,019 V plus ou moins 1E-5 pour environ 90 degrés C.
