Summary[edit]

Description

Westland Lynx company demonstrator G-LYNX, built in 1979, made history on 11 August 1986 when it set a world helicopter speed record of 249.1 mph. Three weeks later, here it is. It was eventually presented to the International Helicopter Museum at Weston-super-Mare in 1994.
