Description
English: Vidyasagar Setu Bridge (commonly known as the Second Hooghly Bridge) over the Hooghly River links the twin cities of Howrah (aka Haora) and Kolkata, State of West Bengal, India - 28 July 2009The bridge is named after the 19th century Bengali reformist Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar. The road that leads to the bridge from the Kolkata side is known as the Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Road, named after Sir Jagadish Chandra Bose, a Bengali physicist, biologist, botanist, archaeologist, and writer of science fiction.
