Description
English: Houses on the northern side of the 200 block of W. Main Street (U.S. Route 40) in Greenfield, Indiana, United States. From left to right:
  • 244 W. Main: Mitchell House, vernacular architecture, built 1890. Now the James Whitcomb Riley Museum, since the next building to the west (just off the left edge of the photo) is Riley's birthplace
  • 238 W. Main: Vernacular architecture, built 1890
  • 234 W. Main: Greek Revival and Italianate architecture, built 1853
This block is part of the Greenfield Residential Historic District, a historic district that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
