A West/East African and Western Eurasian principal component analysis and ancestry component analysis

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: A principal component analysis and ancestry component analysis of West/East African and Western Eurasian populations, including linguistic and ethnic identity.

European and Middle Eastern lineages diverged 35-25kya and subsequently admixed through massive migrations of Anatolian farmers into Europe.

West and East Africans diverged from each other about 28,000 years ago, corresponding largely to the Niger-Congo and Nilo-Saharan linguistic families.

Afroasiatic speaking populations are forming an admixture between (Eastern) African and Western Eurasian ancestries, with the proto-Afroasiatic languages being assumed to have originated in Northeast Africa among a genetically mixed population of initial hunter-gatherers/pastoralists. Their expansion is characterized by the merging with surrounding populations, giving rise to the heterogeneity of modern Afroasiatic-speaking populations in both Africa and Western Eurasia.
