Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Wendover Arm: The Southern End of "The Wides" When the canal was built it cut across a shallow valley with a spring at the back - and the towpath acts as a low dam with (originally) the small lake behind forming an extra winding hole. The area is now almost completely overgrown with reeds, with boggy ground in the woods behind 1230723. The woods, and the far side of the lake are in an adjacent grid square SP8709. See 1235539
