English: Intricately carved pillar

Warangal Fort, Telangana, India Warangal fort has a display of extensive ruins in the premises. The fort is said to have existed since 12th century when it was the capital of the Kakatiyas. There are inscriptions, pillars, mandapas and toranas, strewn all over the premises. These relics provide an insight into the architecture of Kakatiya era. Existing relics are the reminiscent of series of invasions and destructions caused to the fort.
