Deutsch: Framersbach ist seit 1665 Markt. Der Mann stellt einen Frammersbacher Fuhrmann nach einem Holzschnitt des Nürnberger Künstlers Jost Amman (gestorben 1591) aus dem Jahr 1577 dar. Der Ort erlebte seit dem 14. Jahrhundert einen wirtschaftlichen Aufschwung durch die Nähe zu einer wichtigen Fernhandelsstraße und den Ausbau der Spessarter Glashüttenindustrie. Das Frammersbacher Fuhrwesen war im Auftrag großer Handelshäuser wie der Fugger im gesamten europäischen Raum unterwegs und erreichte im 16. Jahrhundert seine größte Blüte. Nach dem Dreißigjährigen Krieg kam es zum Erliegen. Im 19. Jahrhundert löste sich das Gewerbe gänzlich auf. Seit dem späten Mittelalter trägt eine Straße in Antwerpen den Namen dieser bedeutenden Fuhrmannszunft. Die Balken sind dem Wappen der Grafen von Rieneck entnommen, die bis zu ihrem Aussterben 1559 die Zehnt als mainzisches Lehen inne hatten. Das Rad ist das so genannte Mainzer Rad und erinnert an die Landesherrschaft des Kurstaates Mainz bis 1803. |
