Object history
Deutsch: Der Kreistag Havelland hat in seiner 14. Sitzung am 20. Februar 1995[1] die Führung des vorstehend beschriebenen, von der Grafikerin Ruth Peschel entworfenen Wappens beschlossen. Die Genehmigung durch das Brandenburgische Innenministerium erfolgte am 31. August 1995.[2]
English: Adopted 20 February 1995 by the district council, granted 31 August 1995 by the minister of the interior of Brandenburg.
The eagle’s head is derived from the arms of Brandenburg, the area belongs already since the 13th century to Brandenburg. The swans are derived from the former arms of Osthavelland and were also used in the seal of Nauen. The division line symbolises the Havel river. The stars represent the two former districts.
Français : adopé 20 février 1995 par le conseil de l’arrondissment, concédé 31 août 1995 par le ministre de l’Intérieur de Bandebourg.
