| Description |
English: Walled lane and village A view along one of the walled lanes that cross the short axis of the island. These give access to the pasture fields to the south and west of the houses and farms strung out along the tarmac road which follows the long axis of the island. The distant part of the image is not a hill, but the denuded limestone pavement just above sea level. The weather was beginning to deteriorate by mid-afternoon, after a wonderful start. |
