Description
Deutsch: Tübingen. Turm der Stiftskirche vor der Renovierung von 1932. Der viereckige Turm im unteren Bereich ist das älteste Element der Kirche und stammt noch von der Vorgängerkirche. Das Glockengeschoss, das vom Viereck ins Achteck überführt, wurde 1468 fertiggestellt, als man Maße des Schiffes, das erst zwischen 1470 und 1490 erbaut wurde, noch nicht kannte. Es erwies sich dann als zu niedrig gelegen – das östliche Fenster musste teilweise mit dem Dach zugedeckt werde. Der Turmhelm wurde 1590 fertiggestellt. Die starke Verwitterung des Gesteins machte eine Renovierung des Turms notwendig, die im April 1932 begann.
