Hindenburg, Paul v. Beneckendorff and v. Hindenburg, Field Marshall in WW1, later President of Germany, 1847 Posen (today Poznan, Poland) - 1934 Neudeck, West Prussia. Uniformed portrait l., around: "GENERALFELDM. v. BENECKENDORFF u. HINDENBURG"/ The naked Hindenburg l. is attacking the Russian bear with his sword. "1914" at r., curved above: "ZUR BEFREIUNG OSTPREUSSENS" (liberation of East Prussia). Zetzmann 4030. Medallist : AH (August Hummel), 1862 Stuttgart - 1933 Nürnberg. At the mint Chr. Lauer, Nürnberg.
