Description
English: Reichsadler, Nazi Germany eagle, of the Kriegsmarine, the German Navy, from Z2 Georg Thiele, a German destroyer had to be beached on April 13th, 1940 to allow her crew to abandon ship safely after she had been severely damaged by British fire during the Battle of Narvik in Norway in World War 2. Photo taken on May 8th, 2019 at the Lofoten War Memorial Museum ("Lofoten Krigsminnemuseum") in Svolvær, Norway.
