Summary

[edit]
Description
English: This is WD 1202-232 (LP 852-7) and its exoplanet candidate WD 1202-232 b. The exoplanet candidate is the red object at the lower part, "attached" to the white dwarf. It was discovered by Mullally et al. 2024 and is similar to our solar system giants. If confirmed, it would orbit the white dwarf at 11.47 au (earth-sun distances) in a 50 year orbit. During the main sequence of the star the orbit would have been closer to the star at 5.3 au. If confirmed WD 1202-232 b would have a mass of around 1-7 Jupiter masses.
