Das Mädchen trägt ein "Schäppel", eine aus Gold- oder Silberdraht gefertigt und mit bunten Glassteinen, Perlen und Seidenblumen verzierte, an eine Krone erinnernde Kopfbedeckung, die ein Teil der Tracht im Montafon ist. Das "Schäppel" wurde und wird nach der Verheiratung abgelegt und sodann ein "Mäßli", eine "Pelzkappa" oder ein "Sanderhut" getragen.
