| Description |
English: Village well at Whitchurch Hill, near Goring Heath, Oxfordshire. The remains of the winding gear survive, but the roof has been replaced at some stage, obscuring some of the lettering. Samuel Weare Gardiner was a Justice of the Peace and High Sheriff of Oxfordshire in 1849, when aged only 28. |
