Description
English: Head-piece to the gospel according to St Mark, vignette with two birds flying at left towards others pecking food from the ground beside rocks and undergrowth at right (Mark 4:4-5); letterpress in two columns below and on verso. 1800. Inscriptions: Lettered below image with production detail: "J. Heath dirext.", "P.J. de Loutherbourg R.A. inv" and publication line: "London Published 8th(?) June 1800 by Thos. Macklin 39 Fleet Street". Print made by James Heath. Dimensions: height: 480 millimetres; width: 390 millimetres.
