English: Viewpoint marker/guide, St James Hill, Norwich. The top panel notes points of interest visible from this viewpoint. Erected in memory of Ralph Hale Mottram, Lord Mayor of the city in 1953/54, and also a secretary of the Norwich Society. (http://www.thenorwichsociety.co.uk/ ) (Note: at the time this photo was taken there was little point in photographing the actual view, as overgrown trees had obscured it - now they have been cut http://tinyurl.com/yuqlx5 and a return visit is required!) |
