The white Memorial Building looks small on a distant hillside, visible beyond open fields.

Abraham Lincoln Birthplace Memorial Landscape, Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Site. Development outside the park and the growth of trees has altered the rural setting, and historic views from Jackson Highway are obscured. However, the vista from the Memorial Landscape is largely intact.
