Description
English: Mountains view from the front side of the Surkanda Devi Temple near Chamba- Mussoorie Road, Uttarakhand. One of the most religious Hindu temple in Uttarakhand also known as a one of the famous Shakti Peeth. According to the mythology, Lord Vishnu uses his Sudarshan Chakra to destroy the body of Sati and pieces of her body fell all over the region which are then known as Shakti Peeths.
