View from Elizabeth Castle towards St Helier, 2009. The reenactment soldiers are clearing their equipment away after giving a splendid demonstration of firepower on the green.
With the tide out the amphibious Castle Ferry is running on its wheels across the exposed sand next to the dry snaking causeway.
Major developments around the Waterfront (right) have taken place in recent decades.
