Français : Les rats se vendent sur les marchés dans le delta du Mékong

Il s'agirait de rats attrapés dans les rizières (Rattus argentiventer) et pas dans les égouts, disent les vietnamiens et les cambodgiens.

Sa Dec est une petite bourgade au bord du Mékong possédant quelques belles maisons et des bâtiments publics (marché, école,..) datant de l'époque coloniale. On y trouve aussi des temples chinois.

Elle était autrefois appelée "le jardin de la Cochinchine" en raison du nombre d'arbres qui existaient dans cette région. Marguerite Duras avec son roman "l'Amant" y a laissé sa trace.

These are ricefield rats, which are rats caught in rice fields and distinct from urban rats that reside in sewers and cities. Sa Dec is a small town along the Mekong River with some nice houses and public buildings (market, school, etc.) dating from the colonial era. There are also Chinese temples.

It was once called the "Garden of Cochin" because of the number of trees that existed in this region. Marguerite Duras's novel "The Lover" has left its mark.
