Description
Español: Pese a que la velocidad angular orbital de la Tierra es 366 veces más lenta que la velocidad angular sobre su eje, su correspondiente velocidad lineal de traslación orbital es tan alta que la rotación sobre su eje se hace casi imperceptible. Se debe a la enorme distancia al Sol: v. angular x distancia = v. lineal
English: Although the orbital angular velocity of the Earth is 366 times slower than the angular velocity on its axis, its corresponding linear velocity of orbital translation is so high that rotation on its axis becomes almost imperceptible. It is due to the enormous distance to the Sun: v. angular x distance = linear velocity.
