Čeština: Václav Janda (* 24. prosince 1885 Loučeň – 11. února 1942 koncentrační tábor Osvětim) byl pedagogem a ředitelem dívčí měšťanské školy v Nymburce. Vzdělavatel Sokola Nymburk. Vzdělavatel a tiskový zpravodaj sokolské župy Tyršovy. V rámci Akce Sokol byl zatčen gestapem 8. října 1941 a vězněn v policejní věznici gestapa v Malé pevnosti Terezín, odkud byl deportován 15. ledna 1942 do koncentračního tábora Osvětim, kde zahynul.
English: Václav Janda (* 24 December 1885 in Loučeň - 11 February 1942 in the Auschwitz concentration camp) was a teacher and headmaster of the girls' burgher school in Nymburk. He was the founder of Sokol Nymburk. Educator and press correspondent of the Tyrš Sokol County. He was arrested by the Gestapo as part of the Sokol Action on 8 October 1941 and imprisoned in the Gestapo police prison in the Small Fortress of Terezín, from where he was deported on 15 January 1942 to the Auschwitz concentration camp, where he perished. |
