Summary[edit]
DescriptionUnion Pacific "Big Boy" No. 4023 and 6900 Trains in Kenefick Park - July 2010.jpg |
English: Two giant locomotives welcome visitors headed into town on I-80. These aren’t just any trains — the yellow one is Centennial No. 6900, which is the largest and most powerful diesel-electric locomotive ever built. The black engine, dubbed Big Boy, No. 4023 is the world’s largest steam locomotive. That’s a pretty good welcome party for Omaha visitors! These engines reside in Kenefick Park, named after John C. Kenefick, former Union Pacific Chairman and CEO. Admission is free to Kenefick Park. |
