Title |
Unidentified Object: A copper-alloy unidentified object, probably a brooch. |
||
Description |
English: A cast copper-alloy fragment probably from a brooch. The fragment has raised eye-shaped motif surrounded by incised zig-zag lines either side. Above these is a motif with four lobes. The back is undecorated. The fragment is oval in section. The top end of the fragment is thicker and semi-cylindrical in cross-section, probably forming part of the attachment end. From the patina and the area in which this fragment was found it is possibly Roman in date. |
