Uncle Wiggily and Old King Cole from the children's book Uncle Wiggily and Mother Goose

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Uncle Wiggily visits Old King Cole. King Cole's original tale (from Mother Goose) was:

"Old King Cole is a merry old soul, A merry old soul is he. He called for his pipe, he called for his bowl, And he called for his fiddlers three."

However, in this tale, the fiddler's strings break, and so Uncle Wiggily has his mouse friends sing to the king instead, while the fiddler's strings were fixed.
