Description
Deutsch: Ulmer Münster, Gründungsrelief, mit folgender Inschrift: „Anno Domini MCCCLXXVII (1377) – an dem Dienstag, der der letzte Tag war des Monats Juni – nach der Sonnen Aufgang drei Stund – von Heißen des Rats wegen (auf Befehl des Rats) – hier zu Ulm – legt Ludwig Kraft Krafts – am Kornmarkt – seligen Sohn – den ersten Fundamentstein an dieser Pfarrkirchen“ – die Grundsteinlegung erfolgte also am 30. Juni 1377 - rechts ist der regierende Bürgermeister Ludwig Krafft abgebildet, links seine Frau, beide jeweils mit ihrem Wappen - sie legen dem Baumeister Heinrich II. Parler symbolisch die Kirche auf die Schultern und übergeben ihm damit die Verantwortung für den Bau der neuen Ulmer Kirche - abgebildet ist eine Hallenkirche mit verkürztem Chor, drei gleich hohen Schiffen und drei etwa gleich hohen Türmen. English: Ulm/Germany: Ulm Minster, Founding relief, with the following inscription: "Anno Domini MCCCLXXVII (1377) - on Tuesday, which was the last day of the month of June - after sunrise three hours - by Heißen of the council because of (by order of the council) - here in Ulm - Ludwig Kraft Krafts - at the Kornmarkt - blessed son - lays the first foundation stone at this parish church" - the laying of the foundation stone thus took place on June 30. June 1377 - on the right the ruling mayor Ludwig Krafft is depicted, on the left his wife, both with their coats of arms - they symbolically place the church on the shoulders of the master builder Heinrich II Parler and thus hand over to him the responsibility for the construction of the new Ulm church - depicted is a hall church with a shortened choir, three naves of equal height and three towers of approximately the same height.
