English: New Orleans (Sept. 12, 2005) – U.S. Presidential Helicopter, Marine One, takes off from the flight deck aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) after a visit from President George W. Bush. Bush visited the Iwo Jima to receive a briefing on the status of Joint Task Force Hurricane Katrina relief efforts and meet Sailors who were forward deployed to the region. The Navy's involvement in the Hurricane Katrina humanitarian assistance operations are led by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in conjunction with the Department of Defense.
