Jaime Barrata, a general medical officer assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS Tarawa (LHA 1), checks a Batu-Batu native for possible upper respiratory infection symptoms. The young boy was one of more than 1,300 patients treated by Expeditionary Strike Group One (ESG-1) medical personnel in the small village of Batu-Batu in the southern Philippine island of Tawi Tawi.
