English: Norfolk, Va. (Feb. 17, 2005) – Hospital Corpsman Seaman Kathryn Wessell checks a patient’s eyes in the Medical Department aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7). Seaman Wessell is one of approximately 60 Sailors currently testing the new concept Navy Working Uniform aboard Iwo Jima. The Navy introduced a set of concept working uniforms for Sailors E-1 through O-10, Oct. 18, 2004, in response to the fleet's feedback on current uniforms. Four different uniform pattern types will be tested this winter at various locations throughout the world. Each uniform offers a variety of options that Sailors will have the opportunity to choose from. Feedback from the fleet will be used to determine the final Navy Working Uniform.
