Summary[edit]

Description The U.S. Navy combat stores ship USS White Plains (AFS-4) replenishes the aircraft carrier USS Ticonderoga (CVS-14), not visible, and a Knox-class frigate (barely visible behind White Plains). Ticonderoga, with assigned Carrier Anti-Submarine Air Group 53 (CVSG-53), was deployed to the Western Pacific from 17 May to 29 July 1972.
