Description
English: Aerial view of the U.S. Navy aircaraft carrier USS Ticonderoga (CVS-14) on 29 April 1972, during the recovery of the Apollo 16 mission. The crew spells out "Apollo 16" on the flight deck. The spacecraft and its crew were recovered on 27 April 1972.
