Description	The U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Tarawa (CV-40) at Tsingtao (today: Qingdao), China, circa in November 1948. The light cruiser USS Tucson (CL-98) is visible in the background. Tarawa, with assigned Carrier Air Group 1 (CVG-1), was on her world cruise from San Diego, California (USA) to Norfolk, Virginia (USA) from 28 September 1948 to 21 February 1949.
