Summary[edit]

Description
English: The U.S. Navy destroyer USS Stevens (DD-479) moored at Tsingtao, China, 22-27 September 1945. The Royal Navy light cruiser HMS Bermuda (52) is moored across the harbour. Stevens and the heavy cruiser USS New Orleans (CA-32) arrived at Tsingtao on 20 September 1945. Both ships sent prize crews and the cruiser's Marine unit ashore to manage internments of Japanese solders. HMS Bermuda and the destroyer HMS Tuscan (R56) arrived on 22 September. Chinese Nationalist forces arrived on 27 September and Stevens and New Orleans departed the next day.
