Description

GULF OF THAILAND (June 8, 2013) Boatswain’s Mate 2nd Class Michael Davidson, an enlisted landing signalman from deck department aboard the guided-missile destroyer USS Curtis Wilbur (DDG 54), signals while a Thai Navy S-70B Navyhawk helicopter assigned to Royal Thai Navy Squadron 02, stationed at U'tapao Air Base, hovers during a helicopter in-flight refueling simulation during exercise Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Thailand 2013. More than 1,200 Sailors and Marines are participating in CARAT Thailand. CARAT is a series of bilateral military exercises between the U.S. Navy and the armed forces of Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Timor Leste.
