English: The U.S. Navy escort carrier USS Block Island (CVE-21) arrives in Belfast, Northern Ireland (UK), with a cargo of U.S. Army Republic P-47 Thunderbolt fighters, on 7 September 1943. She was unloaded in a record 14 hours. The tug Emp Meadow is off her bow.
