English: Hull Maintenance Technician 3rd Class Mersedes Quijano from Madera, Calif., explains how she calculated how much water would be on the deck to Damage Controlman 2nd Class Jacob Tejeda, from San Jose, Calif., in Damage Control Central aboard the multipurpose amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) during a flying squad fire drill. The Bataan Amphibious Readiness Group is deployed supporting maritime security operations, providing crisis response capability, increasing theater security cooperation and a forward naval presence in the U.S. Navy's 5th and 6th Fleet Area of Responsibility.
