English: 200921-N-IO312-1018 PHILIPPINE SEA (Sept. 21, 2020) Sgt. Andrew M. Kirk, from Muscle Shoals, Ala., assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, prepares to attach a rotator assembly from an MV-22B Osprey assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 262 (Reinforced) to a bridge crane in the hangar bay of the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6). America, flagship of Expeditionary Strike Group Seven, along with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
