English: USSR 1930 cover shipped by LZ 127 Graf Zeppelin, franked with zeppelin stamp Michel 391A, with pictorial Moscow postmark showing an airship and Zeppelin route mark. On 10 September 1930 German airship “Graf Zeppelin” flew from Moscow to Germany, mail for despatch with this flight was accepted at the Moscow GPO, a few hours before take off. In addition to normal rates a fee was imposed and could be paid by stamps that were issued for this event. The rate for postcards was 40k (blue issue) and for letters 80k (red issue, shown here). Affixing both stamps on one mail item was not allowed.

Франкирован авиапочтовыми марками СССР 1924 и 1930 годов, погашенными специальным почтовым штемпелем: справа — из первой стандартной авиапочтовой серии (ЦФА № 205; Mi. 269), слева — из первой памятной авиапочтовой серии, изданной в честь прилёта дирижабля ЛЦ-127 в Москву, с рисунком по плакату В. Костяницына «Даёшь пятилетку в четыре года!» (ЦФА № 359; Mi. 391A). |
