English: United States Navy Rear Admiral John Hubbard (1848-1932) (right foreground) presents a loving cup to the Imperial Japanese Navy on behalf of the United States Atlantic Fleet in Tokyo, Japan, in January 1910 in recognition of the courtesy extended to the "Great White Fleet" during its October 1908 visit to Japan. Accepting is Admiral Saitō Makoto (left foreground). Beyond and to the left of Saitō is Admiral Heihachiro Togo.United States Ambassador to Japan Thomas J. O'Brien is at right center. |
